35 Deseme Road, situated near Alexandra Park and spanning Moss Side and Whalley Range, had one of its earliest residents named Mr Porter.
Records show that Mr Porter had lived there since 1897, and with further research, it may be possible to trace his residency back to the 1890s, providing insight into the date of Inglewood, the name of the house. Inglewood was not listed on the 1894 Ordnance Survey, indicating that it was a relatively new property at the time of the 1901 census, which recorded of Mr and Mrs Porter and two staff members being residents.

The specific date is uncertain, but it seems that this extensive house underwent conversion into flats unsure , but may have been in the early 1970s. As per sources, a resident who lived there in 1995 stated that it was listed for sale by the landlord, Mr Zandi. At the time, the property was unoccupied, and subsequently, a fire broke out, which also engulfed the neighbouring house at number 33.
